What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine that originated in ancient India over 5,000 years ago. It is a holistic approach to health and well-being, focusing on the balance and harmony of the mind, body, and spirit.
It describe how to promote positive health, how to improve natural healing power of the body by following natural food, herbs and drinks according to the biorhythm of the body and according to rythem of Mother Nature.
The word “Ayu:” denote genesis(beginning) Of universe ,the existence and dissolution of the Universe. And salvation of above cycle. Ayurveda based on sankaya and visashika Philosophies. Those philosophies describe how the basic matters(Panchabooth) formed by energies And how the basic matters create materials and living beings in the universe.

Pancha bootha theory
- Patavi-hardness
- Aapo -liquidity
- Theja -Fire (warmness or heat)
- Vayu-Air (gaseous or wavering)
- Aakasha-Emptiness (Eather-vibration)
All the matterials and living beings (Animals and plants) made out of above five basic matters.
Tri Dosa theory –The three functional factors of the body
- Vata -Like electricity. Controlling all the movements and activities of the body
- Pitha -Like fire.All the chemical component and their activities in the body(In the cell)
- Kapa-Liquidity or binding factor of the body.All the liquid inside the cell belongs to kapa.
These three factors should be in natural balance to maintain healthy life.
Saptha dhathu Theory– Sevenfold structural components (sevenfold building factors of the body) move The seven building factors or 7 body tissues we call saphta dhatu.
- Rasa dhathu -nutritional factor of the food after digest
- Raktha dhathu-blood tissue
- Mansa dhathu-muscular tissues
- Medhade dhathu-adipose tissues
- Asthi dhathu-skeletal tissues(bones)
- Asthi majja dhathu- marrow(bone marrow)
- Shukra dhathu-reproductive elements

Agni concept
in general agni can be interpreted as the biological fire or the internal fire that transformes ingested food into the form assimilable buy the tissue elements for the purpose of their nourishment ,growth and repair. Agni is innate in Pitha and control the entire metabolic process in the body.
They are 13 types of Agni in the body according to Ayurveda.
In Ayurveda, the primary goal is to safeguard the well-being of individuals and provide healing for the unhealthy by curing and preventing diseases. Through the practice of Ayurvedic Panchakarma, we focus on eliminating stagnant and polluted materials and energies that serve as the primary triggers of illnesses. By restoring internal energies to their natural equilibrium, we can achieve optimal health and well-being. Our comprehensive Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatments, consisting of five main cleansing procedures, play a crucial role in preventing diseases and promoting good health. These treatments are specifically designed to address and eliminate the root causes of various health issues experienced by individuals.
PANCHAKARMA are,
the five mode of cleansing procedures which used to “eliminate stagnated polluted energies and materials via close orifice of the body.”
Those are,
- Nashya Karma -Nasal treatment. Using nose to eliminate all toxin stagnated in upper part of the shoulder height.
- Vamana Karma -Therapeutic Emisis. Using mouth to eliminate all toxins Stagnated in Middle part of the body
- Virechana Karma– Purgation. Elimination of all stagnated toxins around middle and lower part of the body Through annus .
- Vasti karma:
Niruha vati -Decoction Enema
Anuvasana Vasti -Unctuous(Oily) Enema
Elimination of all stagnated toxins in lower part of the body Through annus.
5.Raktha mokshana– Blood letting treatments
How we are conducting panchakarma program
Panchakarma is complex of treatments. It contain
01.poorva karma -pre operative treatments or preparing treatments.
Which is conducting to prepare a person for cleaning procedure. It has two categories of treatments.
- Oliation treatments-internally and externally oil application. All the oil massages belongs to this category.
- Sudation treatments – Warm treatments that cause sweating. All the warm or hot treatments like steam bath,herbal bath,Nadi sweda,Pinda sweda,warm herbal paste application are in this category.
Poor karma or preparing treatments helps to keep open all the channels and poses of the body And loosening stagnated Polluted energies or toxins. Then all toxins drain into main track where we are applying main cleaning treatments.
Again, all preparing treatment has lot of benefits when getting as individual treatments too.
Before a person undergo any Panchakarma Treatment they have to be prepared for these by the above two categories of processes
02.Pradhana karma -all the five basic cleaning treatments coming under this category.
- Nashya karma ,Vamana karma ,Virechana karma, Niruha vasti and Anuvasana vasti are the five panchakarma treatments according to “charaka Samhita”
- Nashya karma ,Vamana karma ,Virechana karma, Vasti karma and Raktha mokshana(blood letting treatment) are the five panchakarma treatments according to “Sussrutha Samhitha”
03.Paschath karma – Post operative activities.
under this you have to follow special instructions related to each panchakarma procedures. In this activities you have to avoid certain things like exposed to direct sun,expose to very warm or hot conditions exposed to wind or cold condition. Have to follow Specific food pattern according to each panchakarma procedure.
Oil Drinking:
- This is a preparation treatment for Pancha-Karma.
- This oil helps to melt your toxins in the body.
- If you have to drink oil, we serve it to your room at 06.00 a.m. (Together with a piece of Lime & a glass of warm water.)
- First brush your teeth & make yourself fresh, then drink that oil. After that drink the glass of warm water, if necessary you can improve the taste in the mouth by sucking the lemon.
- On these days, you are not allowed to do yoga, sun bathing, swimming, gymnastics or any other exercises.
- And you will not have any breakfast.
- Until the lunch, you can drink warm water or also herbal tea.
- After drinking oil, sometimes you will feel nausea, sweating or dizziness.
- Please, turn to your Doctor then.

Shiro Vasti is one of the advanced treatments in Ayurveda. It is a process of warm medicated oil being kept on the head for a certain period of time with the help of cylindrical leather cap.
Shirovasti also an advance preparing treatment for Nashya karma.

SHIRODHARA
Shirodhara is composed of two words, which have their base in the Sanskrit language. The word Shiro means head and the word Dhara means flow.
- Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic treatment that involves slowly pouring of lukewarm herbal oil or herbal decoction over your forehead. In this procedure, herbal oils or herbal decoctions are poured on the forehead with the help of a metallic or clay pot that is hanging from a specific height above the person who is lying on the treatment-board. It is poured continuously and rhythmically for a certain amount of time, allowing the oil or decoction to run through the scalp and into the hair.
- Shirodhara also a advance preparing treatment for Nashya karma.

SHIRO PICHU
- Shiro Pichu is also an advanced treatment for the head. In this treatment we will put in warm medicated oil soaked piece of cotton-wadding or gauze swab on the head. You have to keep it for 45 minutes to one hour.
SHIRO LEPA
It is a Special treatment done for the head, using a specially made herbal paste. This can be applied against all the conditions for which Shiro Vasti & Shiro Dara are used (for same reasons as stated under those relevant topics.) This is a similar treatment to Shiro Pichu.
Shiro pichu and shirolepa also use for the condition explain under shiro vasti.
AKSHI POORNA – Ayurvedic Eye treatment
We make a cover around your eyes with black gram flour mixture and pouring
lukewarm oil in to your eyes.
- This is a very good treatment for the nerves of the eyes, for cleansing the eyes and the vision.
- The treatment will help to reduce tiredness, redness and dryness of the eyes.
KATI VASTI
Retaining warm medicated oil in an individually formed frame on to the sacral or lumber region is popularly known as Kati Vasti. In this treatment we make use of the healing properties of herbal oils. A specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured to the lower-back and retained inside by the herbal paste boundary. This treatment lasts for 30-40 minutes and it is good against spinal problems and any type of back pain.
GRAIVEE VASTI
Procedure like Kati-Vasti applied for the neck region, against: Cervical Spondylosis Numbness of hands or arms due to any problems in the cervical (neck) area.
PICHU
It is a Special oil treatment for specific areas of ailment in the body. Here cotton is soaked in warm herbal oil and kept on the affected areas for the prescribed duration of time. Specially used against Arthritis and muscular or joint pains & problems.
ABYANGA
Abyanga is an Ayurvedic treatment of applying oil to the entire body accompanied by gentle soft massage for 30 minutes.
PINDA SWEDA
For this therapy specific herbs tied in muslin pouches are used. The herbal formula is warmed, then gently “pounded” and pressed onto the skin simultaneously by two therapists in a synchronized rhythmic motion. It’s applied to relieve deeply seated tension, increase circulation,loosen toxins, strengthen muscle tissue and to rid the body of excess Kapha & Vata.
UDWARTHANA
- The massaging of the body below the neck with dry or wet herbal powders in the direction opposite to the orientation of the body hair is called Udwarthana.
- Udwarthana opens the circulatory channels, facilitates the metabolic activity and improves the skin complexion.
- The whole body is gently massaged with medicated powders prepared from various herbs.
- This helps improve blood circulation, toning of the muscles, reduce fat patches from the body known as cellulite and eases joint pains.
- Regular Udwarthana is good not only against cellulite but it helps to lose weight by increasing the basal metabolic rate.
- By virtue of these therapeutic effects one can obtain the following benefits by the Udwarthana therapy.
